Hello to anyone who receives this post. That means that you are both watching me and still active on DA, which is a rather small group. It's quite a different place when compared with the golden era of 2009-2016 when I met you all. I made a bit of a comeback in 2020, but since then I've only lurked. After the Eclypse abomination, I've even let my core membership lapse.
I joined DA with grand hopes it would become a lucrative side-hustle. That didn't happen, but I made great friends who I miss deeply. I'm not sure if DA will ever be the same as it was back then, but I'm hoping to reconnect with people. All this AI art has made chasing views, faves and watchers pointless as someone with a fancy program will effortlessly recieve more attention than I could generate in a lifetime. I learned early that art is not fair and is the only area outside of romance where effort gets you nowhere. That leaves one reason to post art here: human interaction and friendship. If you're out there, leave a message and say hello. I'd love to hear from you.
Holidays are here so I have time for some art trades. 4 slots available. First come, first served.

I had just graduated from university with a Bachelor in Journalism. I was working for a popular YouTube channel, Grizzly Geek Girlz, and was given the opportunity to go to Japan to cover an Anime Convention. I was thrilled to bits but also very nervous. It was my first time overseas and my first big story. Well, the con was amazing and I had met so many fantastic people; voice actors, writers, animators and other fans. I had stacks of great interviews and had really enjoyed the wacky subculture.
It was my last day in Japan before I flew back home to put my story together and I decided to do some sight-seeing in the capital. I was feeling adventurous so I stopped into this fusion restaurant and sat down to enjoy some soft shell crab and a blue beer for lunch. The place was quite busy and being alone I couldn’t he
