Description
One of the most iconic and quirky things to develop out of the Australian tourism industry is the phenomenon known as 'big things'. These are usually massive animals or fruits which adorn hotels and restaurants. I've recently completed a road trip of New South Wales and encountered quite a number of these 'big things'.
Here we have The Big Prawn of Ballina. It's my favourite 'big thing' and is a truly awesome sight to behold.

I've heard of "Jumbo Shrimp", but this one takes the cake! If it were called "The Big Shrimp", it'd be an oxymoron. But, it's The Big Prawn.
Another similarity between what I've heard about Texas and about Australia: big things.
Also, whenever a group of people who aren't Australian are trying to stereotype the way Australians talk, it seems like at least one of them always mentions something about "shrimp on the barbie". Where the hell did that conception even come from? I mean Australians aren't known for grilling shrimp that much, are they?
